Designing Love by Yvonne Nicolas - Romance>Contemporary eBook

DESIGNING LOVE has been "redesigned" with a new look, re-edited and re-released with sultry, eye-popping love scenes.

World renowned architect, Devon Sparks reluctantly accepts the job of designing a house for his former lover, who'd betrayed him with his best friend. Still a little emotionally battered, Devon is content to never love again, until Josephine shows up on his doorstep.

Josephine Burnett, a brilliant interior designer, is thrilled to be working on such a big project with Devon. She relishes the opportunity to showcase her talents, but wonders if accepting the job was a mistake in the face of Devon’s rude behavior. Soon she discovers the man behind the cold, hard exterior is capable of smoldering passion…

A passion she finds hard to deny.

Can they break free from their emotional restraints to experience the sultry heat of their love?

From Cherokee Rose at Long and Short Reviews
This book delivers everything I could hope for, and then quite a bit more. It has plot, interesting characters, sexual tension, and lots of sex.
From Monica at Happily Ever After Reviews
All I can say to this book, Designing Love, is WOW. Yvonne Nicolas does awesome writing on how love at first sight should be and remain in love.
From Susan at ARE Cafe
Designing Love is an interracial romance with hilarious moments, touching moments, but overall, teeming with sex, sex and more sex. Did I say it's teeming with sex? The plot is funny and outrageous and readers are in for quite a ride - a read - with this novel.
A pair of shorts hung loosely over his legs and a muscle shirt clung to his torso and arms. With his head dipped and his taped hands balled into fists, his body swayed.

Bolted to the ceiling, a punching bag swung lazily before him.
He stepped back then lunged forward. His biceps flexed as he struck the bag, and again with the other fist. Perspiration leaked down his face and arm, and popped off his muscles as he repeatedly pummeled the bag with angry force.

Her mouth went dry just watching him. Everything bulged and contracted with his movement.

Heat flared up between her thighs. Blinking rapidly, she grabbed onto the door handle and sucked in a shaky breath. Maybe she should’ve rejected his proposal and gone back to the hotel to think things through. Seeing him like this would only make it harder to concentrate on the job at hand.

All of a sudden, his head snapped up and turned in her direction. Those eyes seized her where she stood.

Gasping, she spun around and scurried from the door. Hard rock music shattered the stillness of the corridor.

Without looking back or thinking, she started to run like the boogey man was chasing her and would’ve screamed if her breath wasn’t caught in her throat.

“Josephine, why are you running?” Humor laced his voice.

She stopped dead in her tracks.

“Jesus woman, you’d think I was an axe murderer or something. I know I can be a bit of a douche sometimes, but I’m not scary, am I?”

Embarrassed, she turned to face him and met his azure gaze.

As he neared her, he soaked up the sweat from his neck with a small towel. His eyes slid down her body to her bare feet. Smiling, he took his time bringing his attention back to her face.

“I uh…” She swallowed hard then backed away from him. “I didn’t want to interrupt you so I—”

“Thought if you ran, I’d forget that I saw you standing there?” He raked his fingers through his sweat soaked hair and chuckled. “You move fast, but not that fast.”

His laughing eyes almost made her giggle at her own silliness, but in her hot and bothered condition, she couldn’t even crack a smile. Only thing she could do was gawk at him. She zoned in on his chiseled pecs and squirmed in place as moisture built at the juncture of her thighs. The pure masculine scent of him made her nipples stand on end.
If this man didn’t go shower and change right now, she’d give into the urge to lick the sweat right off of him.

“Did you need something?”

The softness of his voice increased the throbbing need circling her nether regions. She looked up into his face.

Something enticingly dangerous played on his expression. His lids lowered and the corner of his lips curved. He knew. He knew exactly what his sweaty masculine presence did to her and from the look on his face, he was about to act on it.

Funny, entertaining, erotic read. Themes of bisexuality sprinkled throughout. Should list.

NThe details of the storyline and characters were great/sex scenes were wow(a little too much at the near end with too many watchful eyes). But this was truly a great read! Nice and long.

OMG! Please buy/read this book. It was so good I could not wait to get to the end but it was long enough to take me 2 days to finish, (some scenes had to be re-read-they were great with humour, eroticism and romance. The only thing I did not care much for was how everyone's speech pattern somehow 'deteriorated' to being a little more ghetto/hood? It was OK for some characters, but it was not for those who started out 'cultured'- being a British-born snob probably makes that a personal hangup.

Even though the heroine was made to sound stereotypically "Ghetto" when she had a conversation with anyone other than the leading man, I still found myself engrossed in the story. I really did enjoy this read immensely ...

I really enjoyed this book. Ms Nichols is a wonderful storyteller. This book was refreshing because the Author didn't stick to convention. The characters whether annoying or over the top rang true to life. I don't want to spoil any of the fun, but there were a few scenes that started down a specific path but ended with me laughing my butt off. Well done. Enjoyable and highly erotic.

This author is amazing. This is the 3rd book from Ms.Nicolas and she always leave you satisfied with amazing sex and the growth of her characters. Josephine and Devon moved way too fast, but it is a short story after all. Only other downside is the "street talk". For professionals to "talk all gangsta" was offputting.
