“Tell me you made no mistake in choosing this Pak Lin for Pearl. He seems so detached, almost bored. Not at all eager as I’d expect a bridegroom to be. As you know, my youngest daughter has a healthy libido that she will insist on having satisfied.”

Eli wasn’t entirely reassured, but the ceremony was about to begin. The time was long past when he could call a halt to the proceedings on the basis of nothing more than an uneasy feeling about the match. As the assembled guests watched, Garnet and Emerald stripped away their sister’s pearl-encrusted robe, leaving her naked but for the choker of pearls and moonstones Lin had selected last week from Eli’s stock.

When her sisters helped her lie down on the ceremonial altar, Pearl’s sable curls stood out against the gleaming marble. Against age-old tradition, Lin had insisted her hair not be cut, but instead be bound atop her head as one of the priestesses was doing now.

“All will be well, my friend,” Meredith said, giving Eli’s hand a reassuring squeeze. “Here come the attendants. Pak Lin will soon join them. Let’s move a little closer to the altar where we can witness the mating ceremony.”

Pak Lin’s cock swelled. His pulse raced. His gaze locked on the woman on the altar as he observed the beginning of the mating ritual as it unfolded before him—an ancient tradition of groomsmen preparing a bride, to which he had added his own modern twist.

His mouth curved upward with amusement at the joke he was making of the traditional mating insisted upon by Eli the Jeweler. Pride bloomed as he realized no one but he realized that the attendants now completing their preparation of his mate were not men but sexbots. Lin watched, unable to remain as calm as he had planned. Blood pounded in his cock as his bots set the gorgeous Pearl to writhing on the altar. The priest gave the prearranged cue for Lin to come forward.

He took a deep, cleansing breath and schooled his features into a mask of passivity. Baring one shoulder from the black velvet cloak that masked his nakedness, he began the long walk to the altar. With every step he told himself the woman he would soon take as his mate was no different than a high-tech sexbot, except that she could provide him with the means of perpetuating his line.

Every time his gaze strayed to her, laid out on the altar for his pleasure, he was struck by her beauty, her vitality. It was going to take his best efforts to think of her as a fuck mate and consort, but never allow himself to feel anything more for her.
