Description
A thousand years ago, Brandr and his band of Vikings were the scourge of the Baltic. Now he’s a romance novelist living quietly in the Hollywood Hills, until newly-turned vampire Kyle shows up on his doorstep. All Brandr wants to do is get ditzy, sweet, sexy Kyle out of his life. It seems so easy at first, just drop the boy off at his house and get away as quickly as possible. Except that Kyle lives with a violent pimp, and has no idea how to survive as a vampire. Just like a hero out of one of his novels, Brandr can’t resist coming to Kyle’s rescue. Reader Rating:

Excerpt:
"You can just let me off here." Kyle had the door open before Brandr stopped. "Thanks for the ride." He grinned, showing far too much of his fangs, and leaned over to kiss Brandr.Brandr slipped his hand behind Kyle's head. The boy was too damn hot to resist. Soon their hands were under clothes, exploring. They laughed a little over the clash of fangs, but delved deeper into their kiss. Brandr was about to drag Kyle over the center console into his lap when he realized a man walking his dog had stopped to watch. He pulled away and straightened his clothes.
Kyle pouted. "You don't like?"
Brandr pointed to his hard-on. "I like, a lot, but I'm just driving you home."
"And I'm saying thanks."
How long had it been since he'd had such a willing, hot boy to play with? It felt like forever. But if they kept kissing like that, he'd drag Kyle back to his bed, and then things would get complicated. Better to stop things now. "Go home, Kyle."
Kyle frowned but got out of the car. He shoved his hands in his pockets and crossed the street.
Brandr rubbed his forehead. The boy wasn't his responsibility. He wasn't Kyle's maker. He'd never made a vampire. But-- Oh crap. Kyle said he was thirsty. Brandr hadn't warned him about feeding. The boy was going to make a mess of it, maybe even kill.
"Not my problem," he muttered.
A car pulled away from the curb half a block down. Brandr glanced at the dark sky. While he claimed he didn't still believe in his gods, he knew a sign when he saw one. Besides, what would it hurt to give Kyle some tips on his new life as a vampire?
