Chapter One

Josie Roberts couldn’t believe she’d agreed to go on a real, live, honest-to-goodness date with the man who’d been spanking her for the past eight weeks. Well, he hadn’t spanked her for real, only online. But it had been more erotic than anything she’d ever experienced.

She met Sir Dom in a spanking chat room a few months ago and the two of them had immediately clicked. Probably because he was so naturally dominant and she was so naturally submissive. Talking in the chat room had quickly progressed to emailing each other and chatting on Yahoo! Messenger.

The conversation had flowed even more easily away from the chat room, and Josie found herself opening up about past relationships and how they hadn’t worked because the men she’d dated hadn’t been into the whole dominant/submissive lifestyle. Sir Dom admitted that was the main reason things with his previous partners hadn’t worked either. Josie felt herself falling for her cyberdom even more when he described the kind of woman he was looking for—one who enjoyed being submissive and getting spanked in the bedroom, but who was his complete equal outside it. While she liked having her ass warmed in conjunction with a little bondage and discipline, she wasn’t into serious domination. Outside the bedroom, she was her own woman with her own opinions and had no desire to have anyone tell her what to do.

It was then she realized how much she and Sir Dom had in common in addition to their love of spanking. They went to see the same kinds of movies, watched the same shows on television and loved the same sports. They even frequented the same restaurants. That last one was how she figured out he lived in the same city she did. When he’d named a locally owned restaurant, she automatically asked him if he lived in Savannah. It was only afterward that she realized he might not want to reveal personal information. They used screen names on the forum, after all. But she was surprised when he answered without hesitation, saying that yes, he lived in Savannah too.

While Josie had secretly fantasized about the possibility of them getting together she honestly hadn’t expected him to ask her—very casually—if she’d like to have dinner with him. She’d thought about it for half a second, then quickly typed her answer—yes. It was probably a little reckless, but her heart told her to go for it.

Although she’d been thrilled about finally meeting him in person, she still wanted to approach their date safely, so she suggested meeting at the restaurant on the Riverfront they’d talked about. They also agreed on some basic ground rules. They’d have dinner first and if it turned out they were wrong about their apparent connection, then they’d both walk away. No commitments or regrets. Josie didn’t think she needed to worry about that. Something told her Sir Dom was the man she’d been waiting for her whole life.
