Slick

The fabric shimmered as she moved her hips seductively to make it sway. The top she wore matched the color of her skirt. In the front a silver Chinese dragon print ran straight up to the high collar around her neck. At the back, well there was no back. Chrissie turned and looked at the expanse of creamy chocolate skin. The top clipped at the neck and the waist leaving her back exposed. She cinched her hair at her nape letting the ponytail hang over her shoulder with sliver clip. With soft brown eyes she appraised herself. Pouty red lips smiled in satisfaction at the reflection in the mirror. Tonight she was not Ms. Montgomery financial analyst for one of the most prestigious firms in Manhattan. Tonight she was a woman who could crook her finger and have men panting to be next to her.

Taking up the small red clutch purse and the soft leather coat to guard against the cool night breeze off the river Chrissie left her apartment and waved at the doorman as she walked through the door. She took a cab to the one place she knew she would be safe. She wanted a wild night of flirtation but was not going to go looking for trouble. The Mustang’s Stable stood out in between the elite restaurants close to Penn Station and Madison Square Garden. Its gritty rock music and scratched hardwood floors were completely different to the ambiance of classical piano music of the other places to eat. Potato skins and Buffalo wings were part of the menu. Good beer was always on tap, and pool tables lined the back room. This was a place Chrissie could relax, and she came here whenever she needed to get away and let her proverbial hair down. The people were friendly, and the Guinness flowed freely.

Chrissie walked in, and a few friendly faces stood out in the crowd. Cat calls and whistles told her exactly how her outfit looked, and when she took off her coat to sit at the bar those whistles turned to hoots and hollering for her to come over and hang out.

"Looking very…um…appealing tonight, Slick. Special occasion?" the bartender came over and drawled.

This was who Chrissie came to see. She let her lips form into a smile. "Why, Mac, can’t you say the words? I look sexy as hell, and no there is no special occasion."

"I’m going to have to pull the bat from behind the bar if some fool tries anything, Chrissie," Mac said.

Chrissie saw how his eyes roved over her face and the heat that flared in their depths. "Keep Stella the bat behind the bar, Mac. I’ll be a good girl tonight."

"Not too good I hope." Mac’s hand grazed her fingertips as he placed her customary Guinness in front of her on the bar.

"For you, Mac, I could be a very, very naughty girl," Chrissie said suggestively.

"Let’s see where the night goes," Mack replied as he walked away to serve another customer.
