Excerpt:
Right away, I could tell the guy wasn't much for the club scene. His whole body was stiff and he simply sat there, staring at his drink as if he was waiting for the whole ordeal to be over. If Lynn hadn't pointed him out, I probably wouldn't have noticed him. He was tall, which I liked, but skinny, which I didn't. His hair was black and sort of messy, and it looked like whatever he had tried to do with it had failed. He was wearing a tight black shirt and faded jeans - plain, boring."He's kind of cute in a sort of eccentric, rich guy way. Well minus the rich part," Lynn said, sipping his amaretto sour.
"Cute if you like the-" But whatever I was about to say completely slipped my mind, because Mr. Stiff had turned and looked straight at me with eyes so blue you could see them from across the room.
Fuck me, was the first thought that went through my head. It wasn't just the eyes, either. It was the way he looked at me. He looked at me with an intensity that sizzled, jolting through my whole body until I felt like my insides were vibrating. His gaze traveled all the way down me as if drinking in every inch of me. I knew I looked good. My golden brown hair was loose and I was wearing a sleeveless sheer black tank top over low riding jeans and black boots. I was used to attention, I drank it in, but the way his gaze licked over me made me want to squirm in a mixture of anxiousness and excitement.
"You were saying, Aden?"
"I was saying something?" I said, reluctantly pulling my attention away from blue eyes and back to Lynn.
