Description

When Darren wins a trip for two to an exclusive holiday resort and invites his work buddy Jamie to share it with him, they are the only two men in the office who know they won’t be enjoying a typical lads weekend away.

Neither of them has any intention of chasing after girls--or even chasing after any guys other than each other. After months of subtle flirtation, Darren and Jamie are finally ready to do a hell of a lot more than stare longingly across the office.

They both know they’re going to get laid, have a laugh and maybe even fall in lust. But neither realizes the weekend has other surprises in store for them--perhaps lust won’t be the only thing they fall in. Especially when one of them realizes that the other man doesn’t just have swimming trunks in his weekend bag--he’s packing leather.

Excerpt:

Darren tugged at his heavy backpack, settling the straps more comfortably over his right shoulder. There were only a few yards left to go. As they turned the corner, he was actually able see their hotel room door at the far end of the hall. Number two-two-seven. Darren could make it. He would make it.

Increasing his pace a little, Darren glanced to his side. Jamie was easily keeping pace with him—even while dragging that ridiculous pink suitcase. There was no need to dawdle.

Darren sped up another notch. Another glance. Jamie’s baseball cap covered the short blond spikes that usually graced his scalp, and cast a dark shadow over part of his face. Darren was only just able to see the other man’s lips twitch. The dimple in Jamie’s left check made a brief appearance, then, he was off.

A sudden burst of speed and Jamie was in the lead, his wheelie suitcase careering wildly behind him. Letting out a shout of laughter, Darren raced down the narrow hotel corridor after him.

He tried to swerve around Jamie and his ridiculous suitcase but it was impossible. Darren’s foot kicked against a wheel. He stumbled to a halt, only just stopping himself crashing head-long into a cleaning cart left in the hallway.

Jamie didn’t even look over his shoulder to check if he was okay. He reached the hotel door in seconds. As Darren stared along the corridor at him, Jamie pulled out his wallet and frantically tried to extract the key card from the jumble of store cards and junk he’d crammed in there.

He was still muttering curses and trying to find the damn thing when Darren caught up with him.

To hell with it. Darren had done the patient thing for long enough.

Catching hold of Jamie’s shoulder, he spun the slightly shorter man around and pushed him back against the wall right next to the door. Jamie’s curses became more muffled as their lips met. Damn, but it was almost impossible to get the other man to change mental tracks with anything less than a fortnight’s notice.

Jamie’s lips continued to try to form some very impolite words under the kiss. Sod that! Threading his fingers into Jamie’s hair, Darren knocked his friend’s baseball cap aside and quickly tilted the other man’s head back to a far more pleasing angle.

When a polite request to shut the hell up didn’t work, a sharp nip to Jamie’s full bottom lip did. His yelp was almost entirely consumed by the kiss. His moan of satisfaction, as he finally caught up with current events, was not. The sound of Jamie’s pleasure rushed through Darren’s body. He hadn’t thought it would be possible for his cock to become even harder, but it did.

Suddenly, Jamie’s hands were everywhere, trying to burrow up under Darren’s t-shirt, grab his arse and pull his head down to deepen the kiss, all at the same time. There was definitely some octopus in his genes. Darren caught hold of one of Jamie’s wrists. A moment later, he managed to snag the other one, too. Pinning both of Jamie’s hands to the wall above his head, Darren leaned in, pressing the other man against the bright white paintwork from shoulder to knee.

Jamie moaned his appreciation as their erections rubbed against each other through their clothes. He pulled at Darren’s hold on his wrist, but not enough to make Darren think he really wanted to be freed.

No, that wasn’t Jamie’s style. A knee to the balls would be his way of saying back the hell off, if he really meant it. Struggling the way he was, could only ever be a request to be pinned down more firmly. Darren grinned as the other man thrust against him, damn near humping him in the hallway.

If the guys at work could see them now. Lads weekend away like hell…

An unexpected polite little cough grabbed Darren’s attention. He reluctantly lifted his head and broke the kiss. His eyes narrowed when he realized a guy was watching them from a few yards down the corridor.

“If you’ll just let me push past for a moment, sir. You can get right back to what you were doing.”

Darren dropped his gaze far enough to notice the room service trolley the guy was pushing. Apparently the hotel didn’t believe in formal uniforms for any of their staff. Just like the guy behind reception, the only hint that this man actually worked there was the name tag pinned to his tight white vest.

“Sorry.” Jamie squirmed out from the snug little place Darren had created for his friend between the wall and his own body. He rushed forward and picked up his suitcase. Barely holding back a sigh, Darren halfheartedly kicked his own bag out of the waiter’s way, too.

“Thank you. Enjoy your stay, sirs.”

Well aware that Jamie probably wouldn’t want another damn thing to happen until they were completely alone, Darren watched the guy walk away until he finally rounded the corner at the end of the corridor.

Finally, Darren turned back to his friend.

At first he thought Jamie had fled. But no, he was on his hands and knees, arse turned toward Darren. It was a very pretty picture. The waistband of his boxers was just peeking up above the line of his jeans. The denim was stretched tightly across his buttocks, just begging someone to jerk it out of the way and bare Jamie’s arse to be spanked.

Suddenly, Jamie rose up onto his knees. Darren didn’t complain. He was more than happy to go with that option too. He’d been imagining Jamie looking up at him as the other man’s full pink lips wrapped snugly around his cock and—

“Yes!”

Darren blinked at the back of Jamie’s head. He couldn’t have come already? Not when there was still three feet of dark blue hotel carpet between them.

Jamie looked over his shoulder and grinned in triumph. Past his head, Darren spotted the key card sticking out of the hotel door. “Clever boy,” he murmured, and quickly grabbed his bag. No more interruptions now!

Darren turned to the door only to find Jamie standing stock still in front of it. Darren lifted one dark eyebrow. “What are we waiting for?”

“Give me a few minutes before you come in?” Jamie asked.

He could have grown an extra head and three additional arms and Darren would have been less shocked. “Why the hell would I want to do that?”

Jamie shrugged. He’d picked up his baseball cap. He twisted it around between his fingers now. “So I can slip into something more comfortable?” he suggested.

“Sweetheart, the idea is for both of us to slip out of everything as soon as possible,” Darren said. “Full frontal nudity can be incredibly comfortable, trust me. I’ll show you.”

Jamie looked at the carpet, the walls, the door, his silly pink suitcase—everywhere except at Darren’s face.

Darren pinned a reassuring smile to his lips and tried not to let any hint of the heartbreaking frustration rushing through his veins show in his expression, as he forced the right words out of his mouth. “Having second thoughts?” he asked. “It’s okay if you—”

“No, it’s not that!” Jamie’s hand came to rest on the center of Darren’s chest. The heat from his palm quickly seeped through the thin cotton t-shirt. “I just need five minutes before you come in, please?”

Darren stared down at Jamie for several long seconds. That pleading look in his eyes was just about enough to bring any man into line. Combined with the note of begging in his voice, it was just about the most erotic thing Darren could have asked for. Just this once, he decided to indulge the other man and let him believe that begging would always let him have his own way.

“Five minutes,” he allowed.

Jamie smiled. If there’d been any inclination to dominance in his friend, Darren knew that he’d have bridled at the success in Jamie’s eyes. As it was, it was difficult not to see him as a sweet little pup.

Jamie turned his suitcase around, so the wheels pointed in the right direction. “You’ll come in after five minutes?” he checked, opening the door and reaching back to offer Darren the key card.

Darren nodded. The door closed in his face.

Sighing quietly to himself, Darren leaned back against the wall next to the door. He glanced at his watch and made a mental note of the time. Five minutes he’d said, and five minutes Jamie would get. Not one second more.

They’d already shared an office for so long Darren felt as if his balls might explode if he was made to wait even six minutes more. Reaching down, he did his best to rearrange himself into a more comfortable position in his jeans. He was pretty sure several lifetimes passed before he gave in to the temptation to look at his watch again. Two minutes! Two sodding minutes, that was all!

Darren contemplated holding his watch up to his ear to make sure the damn thing hadn’t stopped, even though it wasn’t a design that actually ticked. Muttering under his breath, he crossed his arms and leaned against the wall again.

Footsteps rounded the corner at the other end of the corridor. The waiter with the room service trolley quickly made his way back toward Darren. The trolley was empty now. His footsteps slowed as he approached. Darren gave up staring at the wall opposite him and glanced toward the guy, Mike, according to that nametag.

“Is there a problem, sir?”

It was impossible for Darren to tell if he was calling him sir because that was what hotel employees were supposed to call guests or because he usually worked in certain, more specialized, more leather clad, parts of the hotel complex.

Darren ran his eyes up and down the waiter in a quick but thorough inspection. The denim shorts and vest could have gone either way, but his body language dropped a million subtle hints. If he did kink, it was toward the sub end of the scale.

“I’m fine, thanks,” Darren said.

There was plenty of room for the trolley to pass, but Mike didn’t move an inch. “Replacement room key cards are available from reception, sir,” he offered.

“Can I be issued with a less bashful lover there, too?” Darren asked.

Mike’s lips twitched. He glanced at the closed bedroom door. “There aren’t many things that the hotel can’t arrange for, sir. However, in this case, I think you’d struggle to find a replacement as fine as the original.”

Darren chuckled and let his head drop back to rest against the wall. Mike was right. And Jamie was an even better prospect than anyone who only saw him in passing could guess at.

“You can go get on with your work,” Darren said. “I only have another…” he looked at his watch. “Forty-seven seconds to wait before he’ll be ready for me.”

“Very good. Enjoy your stay, sir.”

The guy pushed the trolley out of sight just as Darren’s watch ponderously made its way to its five minute total. Yes, Darren was going to start enjoying his stay right at this moment.
