Description
Michael Andrews is the last of his brothers to find his mate. He's played it tough, trying to convince his family that a mate is the last thing he wants, that he enjoys having a different woman every week. In reality, he's afraid. He wants to find his mate and thinks he may already have, but what if he won't be a good husband? Maybe he just isn't made to love someone.

Chloe Stevens is on her last leg. She found a guy she thought was great, only to end up pregnant and have the guy vanish into thin air. Then she lost her job and consequently, her car. Now she's facing eviction. Five months pregnant, no job, no car, and now no home have forced Chloe to do the one thing she swore she wouldn't... contact the father of her baby. She may have just been a fling to Michael, but their few days together had meant more to her.

When a pregnant Chloe shows up looking for Michael, he's stunned to find out that he's going to be a father. It appears that fate is determined to put the woman in his path. But is Michael willing to fight for Chloe when another werewolf decides to claim her?

Editorial Reviews:
From Dark Diva Reviews (Monica)
I have started to grow a fondness for Jessica Coulter Smith with Moonlight Guardian. She really took a step away from the magic filled werewolf story to the more romantic and real romance of the characters. I have to admit I was taken aback a few times throughout the story, it was not easily predictable.
From Amazon Customer Review
As usual, the author keeps the reader guessing, not allowing them to fall into the predicatable theme of knowing precisely whom Chloe would wind up with by the last chapter. The Ashton Grove Werewolves have proven to be an exciting series that I wish wouldn't end, fresh, inciteful and full of unexpected drama, twists and turns.
From Talk About My Favorite Authors
Jessica Coulter Smith delivers yet another exciting paranormal romance in her highly addictive Ashton Grove Werewolves series that will have you guessing from start to finish about who will Chloe choose to mate and love forever..
From Night Owl Romance
The author has penned a passionate, intelligent love triangle. You will be rooting for Chloe whether she chooses Michael or Ramsey. Moonlight Guardian will hold your attention from the first page till the last.
From Coffee Time Romance
Moonlight Guardian is the third book in this series. Each stands on its own and is enjoyable; but reading the series no doubt packs an awesome punch. Chloe is a strong-willed woman, and Michael is so misguided at times you just want to hit him upside the head. Their story is an entertaining one and includes many characters from other books...
From The Romance Studio
I found Moonlight Guardian to be a most enjoyable story that was difficult to put down. Ms. Smith also does a wonderful job making sure new readers don't feel left out when reading Book 3 of her werewolf series. I had no difficulty understanding the characters and their relationships even though this is the first and only book of the series that I've read. In addition, Ms. Smith gives a delightful sneak peek into book four that is sure to tempt readers who love fantasies come to life.

She glanced up at him. Her mouth went dry. He was every bit as gorgeous as he had been the night she’d met him. His tall, muscular form was every bit as delicious as she had remembered. His blue eyes contrasted nicely with his inky black hair; his strong, full lips made liquid heat pool between her legs. For whatever reason, Chloe seemed to lose the ability to think when Michael was around, which was obvious since she was pregnant. The man was sinfully handsome, of that there was no doubt. It was also obvious that she still desired him as much as she had five months ago. This was definitely a mistake! Finding Michael was more dangerous than she had thought.

“I shouldn’t have come here,” she told him, pushing herself to her feet.

Before she could reach the door, Michael reached out and gently took her arm.

“Wait, you had to come here for some reason. Just tell me what you wanted, Chloe.”

She shook her head. “No, this was a mistake.”

Pulling her arm free, she tried to walk out the door again, only to be stopped – again.

“What was a mistake, Chloe?”

Shaking her head, she tried to go around him.

Michael put his arm out, effectively blocking her path. In the process, her cardigan was pushed aside, revealing her stomach.

Grabbing the edges of the material, Chloe tried to cover the small bump. She wasn’t quite fast enough if the shocked expression on Michael’s face was anything to go by. She sighed, resigned to her fate.

“You’re pregnant?” he asked, unable to believe his eyes.

“Yes, five months.”

His eyes darted to hers. “Are you sure it’s mine?”

Anger filled her, eyes flashing she pushed past his arm and out the front door. She was down the steps and part way down the sidewalk before Michael even registered what had just happened.

I loved the first two books but this one is horrible. I was disgusted with the two main characters of this book. Michael is abusive and has no idea what "fidelity" means. He cheats on her with three random women while he is supposedly trying to "work things out with Chloe because he loves her". Meanwhile, Chloe is seeing another guy thats amazing, and most of the book revolves around them falling in love. But she still ends up with the faithless dog due to someone placing a love spell on them.

SKIP THIS ONE IN THE SERIES because all i can say is nice guy finish last and this author must have a thing for asshole because the hero has no redeeming qualities which seem to be a recurring thing in her books. So if you like the asshole wining the girl and the nice guy left with nothing then this book is for you

I really loved the way the characters were portrayed. It was very easy to empathize with the heroine. The hero really had some changing and grouping up to do. They made me laugh and cry too! The author included some suprises too! However, I felt confused by some of the events toward the end of the story. Perhaps this is because I haven't read the previous stories and I was missing something vital. The writing style, characterization and word building make me want to read more by this author

Beware. Stay away from this awful story. I too waited and waited for this book to be released and I was shocked at how terrible this book was. The two main characters? Jerks. These to losers deserve each other. Save your money! Skip this one!!

As a romance, I found this book disturbing. There was not enough character development of the male protagonist and too much character development of a secondary character. It read as a book to setup the Ramsey character for his story not as Chloe and Michael's story. Michael's character was not developed and I heartily disliked him. Chloe didn't even really choose him, she let someone else choose him for her.

This book was terrible. I was so excited for it that I pre-ordered it, but I was extremely disappointed. The male lead is barely present, and the main characters in general have few--if any--endearing qualities. The ending is simply ridiculous. I could barely force myself to finish reading it. I won't be reading this author again.

I waited eagerly for the next installment in the "Moonlight" series to be released (I pre-ordered it!). All I can say is that I was bitterly disappointed. The writer failed to give Michael any true redeeming qualities and I found myself disliking him intensely. The storyline was poor, the characters had no backbone and the ending was laughable. The book not only failed to pull at my heart strings, I had a hard time even finishing it! I won't be buying the next book!
