Both of them sent her hormones into overdrive. Two best friends. One with short blond hair, one with shoulder-length dark brown. One with a husky build, one a runner’s lean build. One with chocolate eyes, one with piercing green eyes.

Michelle Cooper told her overactive hormones to behave so she could finish the interview. She was temporarily in charge of hiring new escorts for Coopers’ Companions, the business she and her brothers owned. Normally wrapped up in spreadsheets and flower bulbs, she’d taken over the job while her older brother, Brent, recuperated from a nasty bout of bronchitis. She would’ve passed the job along to her oldest brother, Zach, but he’d left five days ago on his honeymoon and wasn’t due back for two more weeks.

Gathering herself, Michelle sat up straighter in her chair. Despite wanting to drool, she had to present a professional image. “I’m going to tell you what Coopers’ Companions expects, then I want y’all to answer some questions. Agreed?”

Both men nodded.

“Good.” Michelle interlocked her fingers and rested her hands on the desk. “Coopers’ Companions is an escort service. We hire men to escort women to dinners, business functions, parties…wherever they might need to go. Our employees are companions. They are not prostitutes. We do not hire men who are simply looking for easy sex. If that’s why you’re here, we have no reason to continue this conversation.”

She looked from one man to the other. They both remained silent. Taking that as a sign that they were still interested in the job, she continued. “Whatever you do on your own time is your business. If a client decides she wants to spend more time with you after her business function, that’s entirely up to you. Our escorts do not make the first move. It is totally up to the woman if she wants a more…intimate ending to the evening. Many of our clients are in their fifties and sixties, divorced or widowed, with high paying, executive positions. They only want an escort, nothing more.”

Once again, she looked from one man to the other. She still held their attention. “Other women may ask you for sex. Again, that is up to you. As long as you are courteous, charming, and attentive to our clients, you need not take the evening any further than you wish. Our clients hire our escorts knowing all the rules. A woman will not be angry should you decline her offer for sex. If she did become angry, she would never be able to use our services again.”

“But if we accept,” Andre said, “that is not against your rules.”

The sound of his accented voice sent a shiver down her spine and straight to her clit. Italian perhaps? Or maybe Greek. Combined with that gorgeous mane of dark hair and piercing green eyes, it made her want to lie down and spread her legs.

Damn David for breaking up with her last month. She hadn’t wanted to move in with him. That wasn’t a reason for him to break up with her, not in her book. She’d gotten used to regular sex. Finding another lover wouldn’t be easy with her busy work schedule.

She again told her randy hormones to behave as she shook her head. “Your evenings are your own after you’ve fulfilled your obligation as an escort.”

“Is there a rule about tips?” Nathan asked. “Are they offered, and if so, do we accept or decline?”

“Yes, the women often tip, Nathan, and they’re very generous. Anything you make on top of your fee is yours.”

Michelle pushed her hair behind her ears. “Those are the most important rules, and they’re set in stone. Any questions?”

They shook their heads.

“I have a question. Why do y’all want to work for Coopers’ Companions?”

“We have recently moved to Fort Worth from Chicago,” Andre said. “We did not want to experience another snowy winter. Nathan and I have been friends for years and wish to work at something together. He saw your ad in the newspaper. It sounded like something we would enjoy.” A teasing smile turned up his lips. “What man would not enjoy spending an evening with a lovely woman?”

Michelle melted. Everything inside her turned to liquid when Andre smiled.

If his smile affected her so strongly, she wondered how she’d feel if he kissed her.

“I agree with Andre,” Nathan said. “We both enjoy the company of women. Being an escort seems like a natural job for us.”

“You sound like my brother Zach. He believes every woman is beautiful in her own way.”

“Your brother is an intelligent man,” Nathan said, also smiling.

Ohmigod, his smile is as sexy as Andre’s. Life simply isn’t fair.

An image flashed through her head. All three of them naked and sweaty, writhing on her bed. Or on the floor. Either place would be fine. Nathan sucked her nipples and played with her clit while Andre licked her anus.
