Excerpt:

“Mr. Matthews…?” The secretary called.

“Right here.” Kyle got to his feet and smoothed his suit. He had made multiple trips to the bathroom to make sure he looked good, popped a Listerine breath strip and adjusted his suit. He was a good looking guy, he knew that even with plain brown hair and deep hazel eyes, but good looks didn’t get you the job.

He looked around for a moment. Damn, he was the last one, and that thought unsettled him. He had hoped he would have been one of the first ones to get in, getting the chance to use his charm and credentials to woo whoever was going to interview him.

“Mr. Sellers is ready to see you now.” She announced holding the door open for him.

He bid her thanks and stepped in.

He was so completely wowed by the office that he stopped in his tracks as the door clicked behind him. He’d never seen an office filled with such personality! There were strange cultural masks lining the walls, their bulbous eyes and lips reaching out at him. Vicious looking spears and other weaponry was stacked in display cases along with old black and white photographs depicting explorers mingling with African tribes occupying every available space.

“Ah, Mr. Matthews. Do come in.”

Kyle got with the program and reattached his jaw to his skull. He put on his best charming smile, “Mr. Sellers, nice to meet you.”

The man got out from behind his desk and they shook hands. Damn, the man’s palm was oddly soft which meant he didn’t do hard work. Hell, he probably got manicures to pass the time.

“Please, have a seat.” He said and smiled, those generous lips pulling up softly.

Kyle couldn’t help but to squirm in his pants, a hint of arousal nipping at him.

Well, that was certainly a surprise. Kyle hadn’t expected what was in front of him, much less be enticed by it. Mr. Sellers was an older man, in his late forties, but his face had a youthful glow about it that made him seem much younger. He had short cropped salt and pepper hair and matching light gray eyes that twinkled in the light like stars against a twilight sky. And he had a good body, too. The black suit hugging broad shoulders and a tapered waist.

Damn, he was a silver fox!

Hell… this is so not the time to get turned on, he reminded himself.
Kyle cleared his throat and sat down, watching the older man take his own seat. He moved gracefully as if he had been trained that way, every step, every movement perfectly synchronized. Then he folded his hands on his desk and raised his eyebrows at Kyle in what looked like amusement.

“You’re the youngest applicant I’ve had. Twenty-three and fresh out of college.” He said, his voice deep like the roll of thunder.

Kyle smiled shyly. “And top of my class, might I add, sir.”

“Confident as well, I see. Good. I like that.” He smirked, something hidden there bubbling to the surface. He leaned back and ran those smoky eyes up and down Kyle’s body. “University of Illinois. My brother went there. He’s the head of the financial department.”
“It’s a good school” Kyle added, his eyes darting to the man’s abdomen as he shifted, the white dress shirt crinkling. His imagination went wild, wondering what was under the cloth.

“Well, I’ve looked over your application. Frankly, I’m impressed with your credentials. However, you’re young and inexperienced…”

“Weren’t we all at one time, sir?” He cut in. It probably wasn’t a good idea to interrupt, but he couldn’t help it; he hated his youth being used against him.

The man sputtered for a moment then grinned darkly. “Cocky as well.”

Kyle forced a lump down his throat and looked away. “I apologize.”

Mr. Sellers laughed, a true, hearty belly laugh. “Don’t. It shows ambition. And I need a confident, ambitious man to run my IT department.”

Kyle’s heart swelled at the compliment. “Thank you, Mr. Sellers. That honestly means a lot. Every interview I’ve been to, they passed me off because of my youth.”

He grunted an acknowledgment then leaned forward again, his thick shoulders bunching up. He weaved his fingers in his hands. He bit his lips and Kyle couldn’t ignore the thump in his cock. Damn, he’d never really been attracted to an older man before, so why now? Maybe it was the power trip; Mr. Sellers was one of the top players in one of the top companies in the U.S. Surely that had to be it.

“I like you, Mr. Matthews. But, tell me, why should I hire you and not the dozen or so equally qualified, experienced applicants?” He asked, those eyes going bright with interest.

Now was his chance! He had stood in front of the mirror and memorized what his response would be… but now he drew a blank. It was those damn searching eyes burning a hole right through him, those quirking lips teasing him… “I…”

The man cocked his brows up in expectance, his orbs shinning with amusement. “Speechless, Mr. Matthews?”

What the hell is wrong with you?! Open your mouth! “Well, as you can see from… I’m smart, sir. And I work hard. I worked my butt off for that scholarship and I don’t quit under pressure. I love what I do, too. Ever since I was old enough to use a computer… I live and breathe electronics.” He paused, his words sounding so very shaky to him; that wasn’t at all what he had rehearsed, damn it!

Mr. Sellers didn’t respond, just blinked at him, those penetrating eyes searching for something. Finally, he leaned back and cocked his head to the side. “That’s the same response everyone else has given me.”

Kyle grunted, peeved at himself and the way Mr. Sellers was unnerving him. He was almost certain the man was doing it on purpose like some sort of stress test. “Well, I’m not going to fall to my knees and beg.”

Mr. Sellers broke out in that rumbling laugh again and Kyle felt his body heat up. His attraction to the man was messing with his brain so that he couldn’t think straight. He needed to get ahold of himself, needed to collect what confidence he had left and convince the guy to hire him. He really needed this job…

“Tell me, what do you do in your spare time?” The man inquired, relaxing back against the leather chair. God, every movement he made made Kyle drool.

He opened his mouth and did a fish impression for a few moments before finally speaking, “Well, most of my free time is spent in front of my computer. Keeping up with today’s technology and-” he passed the man a careful look, “-dabbling in computer games.”

“No girlfriend?” Mr. Sellers asked, something deep and curious in his voice.

“No, sir.” He replied and fiddled his fingers, trying to ignore the pull he felt towards the man. Once this was over he was going to go home and make directly to bed for a little one-on-one time with his right hand.

“A good looking boy like yourself.” The man mused, his hazy eyes doing a twice over that made Kyle squirm in his pants. His cock was waking up, pushing against his slacks, his skin growing sensitive to the cloth encasing him.

He nearly jerked when Mr. Sellers got up from his chair and lazily walked over to his coat hanger. Kyle watched entranced as the man shifted his shoulders, removing his blazer and placing it on the hook. God, the way the cloth embraced that chest… Kyle’s mouth went dry.

“Do you have a boyfriend, Mr. Matthews?” The man asked coolly, returning to his desk where he peered out the window.

Kyle blinked. Had he heard right? “W-what?”
