Description
Hopelessly romantic, curvaceous schoolteacher Jennifer White had always dreamed of a fairy tale wedding. When her banker fiance Seth proposes to her, Jen thinks that dreams really do come true. When Seth reveals himself as a homicidal con artist and dumps her in the heart of the Serengeti during their vacation, she figures that the fairy tales lied. A lot.

Cyeon Rarh is an alpha of an ancient shapeshifter pride. Usually he just gets annoyed when humans carelessly leave stuff in his territory. Cameras, outdoor gear, and occasionally…people. Yeah, don’t they know humans taste terrible? But there’s something intriguing about the sweet Jen with her silky skin, plump breasts and generous hips. His lust burns hot the moment he sees her and claiming her as his own seems to be the most logical thing to do. Once she stops freaking out, of course.

Editorial Reviews:
From Lauri-J, Night Owl Reviews
"I relished reading this short story. Jennifer learns some hard lessons, meets adversity head-on, and still retains a genuine innocence that astounds. The banter between herself and Cyeon is funny and arousing at the same time. The author knows how to write hot, descriptive, passionate sex scenes that enthrall..." Rated 4/5 Stars
From Xion, The Romance Studio
"This was a great story... Ms. Lee certainly kept me entertained throughout the story. If this is a sampling of her writing, I would love to read more of her books. In my opinion, she gives voice to a problem many women suffer from, the desire to make a man fit the mold they want them in, no matter how many danger signals they..." Rated 5/5 Hearts
Excerpt:
After a few yards, Jen had to stop. She panted. The heat was unbearable. Her throat was parched and she was hungry as hell. Suddenly the surroundings turned silent. Uh-oh. Not good. Even the noisy birds had stopped chirping. Goosebumps broke out over her flesh. The hair on her nape stood. A low growl reverberated behind her. Her heart froze in her chest.

Oh, god, no. Jen scrambled up to run. She only managed a dozen steps when her strength left her. She crashed back to the earth, placing her much too close to her living nightmare.

A giant lion appeared before her. His majestic, golden mane was gently blown by the dry, hot breeze. A golden-eyed gaze raked over her body, calculating. The lion swished his tail. Another growl erupted from his throat.

“Good kitty,” Jen whispered. She scooted backward. “Don’t eat me. I don’t taste good.”

For a moment, she thought she heard the lion chuckle. Impossible. Snorted? Nah. Couldn’t be.

She scurried to a nearby bush as the lion inched closer, ready to pounce. Her gaze was transfixed on the lion’s huge paws. They were bigger than dinner plates. Oh, god. I’m doomed.

Jen’s eyes widened in terror when a second lion stalked out from the dense underbrush.

I’m dead. I’m freaking dead. They’re going to eat me alive.

She squealed when the first lion put his paw on her chest and sniffed and then darkness engulfed her.

This story just wasn't believable for me. The story felt rushed. The first few pages read interesting, but after she meets the hero, it goes downhill, for me. It felt incomplete.

The chemistry between the H/H was good and I was glad Jen found some happiness after what that jerk did to her. I love this short story and loook forward to reading more from this author.

A very quick read somewhat short on plot. And like many short stories the action from crisis to resolution seems contrived and unrealistic. Nevertheless, it is a fun read and what I call a nice literary "snack." Great for lunch breaks and such.

This story was ok. The story was a bit rushed and superficial but still entertaining.

This is the first and definitely not the last book by Lizzie, I enjoyed the love story but it also made me laugh out loud. The characters came alive and made me want to go back and read it all again.

I wish this story had a bit more substance to it. Over all, it was OK. Not great, but not bad. A bit short to have any real full character development. If the author ever decides to rewrite this one, adding more all around, it will be a better read.
