"Double-Trouble is a working cattle ranch, Miss Brody," Colt said, "but we're also one of the best dude ranches in the country. We're constantly switching tours in and out. Only slow time is in the winter."

"So, you have people who work it?"

"We do the work ourselves—my grandparents, parents, two brothers, and my sister-in-law. Sometimes we hire on extra help in the summer when we get really busy." If she thought she was going to skate out of this, Miss Brody was in for a surprise.

She paused as they waited to cross the street, leaning against his hand still resting on her lower back. "I'm sure this won't come as a surprise, but I don't have a clue what to do."
