Kenda nodded. As he sat down, she felt the bed depress under his weight. Then, she felt the warmth of his body near hers. Reaching out, she demanded, “Give me your hand.”

Tucker placed his hand in hers. Kenda felt his large hands. His skin was rough, slightly moist, but cold. His fingerprints were raised and rigid to the touch. She felt the cool sleeves of his leather coat. Beneath his sleeve, she felt the firmness of his muscle. “You work hard for a living.”

“Yep. Back home, I have a few cows and a fix-it shop. I learnt that trade from my daddy.”

Kenda put her hands up to his face. Immediately, she snatched them back. “You need a shave!”

“I’m real sorry ‘bout that ma’am. I ain’t shaved, been on da road. This old beard of mine grows real fast.”

Kenda hesitated, then raised her fingers to feel his nose. It was firm, chilly, and medium in size. When she investigated his eyes, Tucker closed them tightly. He relaxed under her tender strokes. His thick lashes were straight, and long. “Oh,” she gasped, pleased by her findings. “What color are your eyes?”

“I got blue eyes and blond hair from my mama. Everything else, I took from my daddy.”

As her fingers traveled over his mouth, she parted her lips. His top lip was thin; while his bottom lip was fuller, but smaller than most males.

Satisfied by her findings, Kenda plowed her fingers upwards, they met the firm brim of his hat. “Is this a cowboy hat?”

Suddenly the hat disappeared. “Yes ma’am. I never go anyplace without my hat.”

Kenda smirked, then pursed her lips. Hesitantly, she felt the space above his head. Placing her hand atop his head, she tunneled her slender fingers through his silky blond mane, rubbing it between her fingertips. She noted that his hair was coarse and short, but fuller on top. Reaching around his face, she caressed the soft folds of his firm ears, ears the perfect size for his head. “You’re quite handsome, huh?” Feeling his lips stretching into a grin, she smiled.

“That’s what they say back home.” He lifted his face as Kenda stroked his chin with her palms.

Amazed that Tucker would sit so patiently, she probed further. Beneath his jacket, Kenda fondled the fabric of his shirt. As she did so, his chest rose and fell. His breathing was gentle and unencumbered—his scent, sensual but musky. A heady fragrance embraced her nose, triggering her feminine alarm system. If she didn’t know better, she’d swear he reeked of a passionate night. In response to his luscious aroma, her body grew warm, glowing with commanding urges.

Kenda traced around his lips once more. They were warm, yielding and succulent to the touch. Exploring his body, her breathing increased. Though he hadn’t touched her, he slowly turned on every erotic switch she possessed. Brushing against the coolness of his leather jacket, the tips of her breasts tightened. Because Kenda didn’t know him, she curbed the urge to place her fingers into his warm mouth. Tucker’s breathing quickened. Unexpectedly, he moaned, and his hips jutted forward.

Hearing and feeling his reaction, Kenda snatched her hands away. After placing them on the bed, she blew out sexual tension. “That’s enough touching.” Kenda didn’t know if she were blushing or not. With her buttered pecan skin, she hoped she wasn’t. “Can you cook breakfast?” she asked, nervously grooming her hair. Any excuse to get Tucker out of the door was better than none.

“Yes’m,” he groaned softly. “I’m pretty good at it. I’m a bachelor.”

terrible, the guy talked like someone from the swamp people show, the concept of the story could have been good but ended up falling flatter than a tire with 500 holes in it, i simply feel robbed and feel like a fool for spending my money on this, while i wish thwe author well,it is my desire to spare others as i wished someone had reviewed this before i purchased it,it is truly one of the absolute worse books I have ever suffered through, it's just plain old bad with a capital B, i feel cheated
