Have a Merry Knight

Rose flinched as Gerrick kicked open yet another door. "There are handles," she pointed out.

He set Rose on her feet and looked her up and down. "I cannot waste time with handles, Lady Rose."

"You are in a hurry?" she asked, her heart beating so fast she thought it might shoot right out of her chest.

"I was in a hurry, but I am not now. Now that I have you here, we can linger."

She suddenly remembered she was supposed to be working. "Actually, we cannot. At least I cannot linger."

"Aye, you can for 'tis my wish that we get to know each other."
Wasn't that exactly what she wanted too? "I am supposed to be downstairs working."

Smiling, Gerrick fingered her cheek. "Nay, you shall not work."

The touch of his finger was electric and she felt a tingle surge through her body. "Lord Wenderfell will not like this."

"Wenderfell has my sister. If he wishes to keep her, then he shall not offend me. I desire you, Rose," he murmured, kissing her on the lips.

She didn't hesitate to kiss him back and she heard him give a growl of pleasure as her tongue tantalised the inside of his mouth.

"Ye Gods, you kiss better than a whore."

Those words startled her and she recoiled. "You have had a whore?"

"Many," he replied, flatly.

"I don't believe you. A man as magnificent as you does not need to pay women to sleep with him."

He shrugged. "I never paid them. They begged me to shaft them."

Her jaw dropped but then she suddenly gave a burst of laughter. "Oh, I understand. We're still playing the knight and maiden game." She approached him and put her hand on his chest. Beneath his surcoat she could feel his heart beating strongly. "Look, I shall be honest with you. I want you and I think that you want me."

"God's teeth, I want you, woman," he replied, tearing off her white apron. That done, he swiftly worked on the cord fastenings at the front of her peasant gown. "But, I do not want these," he growled, pushing the gown over her shoulders so that it fell to her feet. "Ah, now I can see more of your beautiful body."

Rose glanced down. She wore only a bra and briefs and Gerrick was staring at them.

"Where I come from women do not wear such garments," he murmured, stroking the swell of her breasts.
