Fighting The Desires

Tina scanned over his neatly pressed uniform adorned with a few medals. He was rather attractive and his stare were mesmerizing, she had to look away to avoid him at times.

“I don’t think that's possible today…I’m rather busy,” she said mumbling.

“I know you’re married and this would only be business related, Dr. Lofton.”

“That's all I would expect it to be, Lieutenant,” she said, feeling the heat rise in her cheeks. “If you don’t have anything else for me, I really should get back to work.”

She could feel his eyes, her knees felt weak as she moved towards the door. She were acting as if this was the first time she’d been alone with a man.

“Oh sure, I’ll be in touch if I need anything else,” he said sticking his hand out.

Fidgeting with the hem of her suit jacket, she tried to dry her hands on the sly, hoping he wouldn't feel the dampness of her palms.
Opening the door, Rob stood with his arms folded. She jumped as she came face to face with him. “Rob, I didn’t know you were here. Why didn’t you have Sarah buzz me?”

“I didn’t want to interrupt your session; only I wasn’t aware it was with the Lieutenant.” This, being the first time he'd actually met the trooper, and not liking what he saw, Rob slowly burned inside.
