Excerpt:
Her life was a mess, her marriage a wreck, and this properly straight laced wife had just seen her cheating husband in bed with two beautiful women. The problem was that she was excited, turned on and jealous.
What’s wrong with me?
To get some space and distance between her and her wayward husband, she drove, and the more she drove, the further lost she became. She could barely see through the blinding snow and the roads were very slippery. Finally after trying to navigate the icy roads and fighting the near white out conditions, she was tired, hungry and needed some coffee. That was when she saw Fuller’s Diner.
She walked through the double doors of the diner into another dimension of reality. The black and white motif with the Coca Cola red accents was a throw-back to the 1950’s. Along the walls were autographed pictures from movie stars of the 1930’s, 40’s and 50’s.
Her eyes wandered around the room until they finally focused on the waiter. He was quite handsome and his tight Levis and the partially unbuttoned white cotton shirt did not conceal his tremendous build. It was as if a Greek God was serving up coffee in a 50’s roadside diner. Carole could easily see his deep tan, his chiselled pecs, and his fully developed six-pack abs. He was drop dead gorgeous and though Carole was tired and upset she didn’t mind looking. After all - she was still alive and a woman.
He placed a silverware packet and a menu before her. “Chilli tonight? I hope I can do something for you. ”
Carole bit her lip and gazed at her handsome waiter. Do something for me? YEA! “Okay, I’ll bite, what do you have to offer?”
He smiled and spoke, softly, in a way that relaxed her. “I’m David; you look like you may need our special tonight.”
Carole remembered Tony and his two women; she tried to force a smile and hide the tears but couldn’t. “Well, maybe. What is it?” She reached into her purse and pulled out a dollar and a quarter. “I really don’t have much money.”
David laughed, “What I’m going to give you tonight won’t cost any money.” He put his hand on hers, “No, no tears.” Gently, he pulled her from the stool and led her back to his office. “Please sit here.”
As Carole sat down, David pushed all of the papers on his desk to the floor. He turned and easily lifted Carole up on the desk.
Carole felt his biceps; in his strong and massive arms, she felt safe and secure. She didn’t know where this was going, but she wasn’t going to fight it.
