Embrace the Beast

“So what first?” Zane asked rubbing his hands.

“Men go play and do what men do in a casino,” Promyse said. “We’re going wedding shopping.”

“Oh, thank God. I thought you were going to make us go.” Zander breathed a sigh of relief.

“That could still happen,” Nia said darkly.

“Shhh, they sense fear,” Malachi whispered.

“Don’t look directly into their eyes.” Kale nudged Camden.

Nia put her fingers to her temples. “I see all of you carrying bags in a not so distant future.”

“Men, we meet back at the elevators in three minutes before they corner us for shopping,” Casey said.

“I’ll come knock on your door after I freshen up.” Promyse smiled at Nia. “See you in ten?”

“That sounds good to me,” Nia replied.

She and Casey parted ways with the rest of the group in the six-floor hallway and went to their room. It was pristine with rich reds and golds. The bed was huge, and Nia looked at it longingly wishing she could just cuddle under the burgundy covers with Casey. He came up behind her and nuzzled her neck.

“You want me to stay?” he asked softly.

He turned her into his arms and smiled as she wrapped her arms around his neck. “No you go play with the boys. We have two days, and then I get you for my honeymoon night all to myself.”

“Darling, you get me to yourself right now. Just snap your fingers and I’m yours.” Casey nibbled on her lower lip, sending delicious fissions of pleasure through her body.

Nia gave a sigh. “Ahh, you tempt me, but no, go play, and us girls will shop.”

“Buy something sexy for later,” he said. After a long deep kiss he turned and walked away. At the door he said, “And no hot bodied stripper type men.”

“That’s what I have you for,” she called. “Oh and same goes to you on the strippers.”

He gave her a thumbs up and closed the door. Nia sat on the bed for a minute thinking about everything from meeting his mother and learning about his life to their impending marriage and even more so, maybe a birth. How would he feel if she was pregnant?

She made a frustrated sound and got up to find something to change into. She pulled out a pair of shorts and a cotton blouse thinking to keep it simple for the Las Vegas heat if the ventured outside. It was fifteen minutes later when Promyse knocked on the door. Nia opened it and looked curiously at the small bag that dangled in her hand.
