Excerpt 1:
On the second anniversary of Sarah’s death, Link finally accepted an invitation to one of his friend’s home for a party. He didn’t feel enthused, but he’d ducked out of John and Karen Bradley’s offer so many times he felt ashamed and decided to go. It’s time I come out of this shell and circulate.
He glanced in the mirror, running a brush through his thick dark hair. It looked a little long, rubbing the collar of his shirt, and his deep green eyes didn’t hold the warmth they’d once held. When I still had Sarah. He dismissed Sarah from his thoughts. There was no sense on dwelling in the past since he couldn’t resurrect it. He decided to enjoy himself tonight. It had been a long dry spell between any social activities for him.
When he drove up to the farm house, situated at the end of a long drive with a backdrop of mountains, Link stepped from the car and took a deep breath. He’d finally come to the decision he needed this tonight. Other than his dog, Sparky, he’d only interacted with clients—and almost become a hermit. He was ready to remedy the situation tonight.
Ringing the doorbell, he waited, hearing the sound of light music coming from the house, competing with sounds of the guests’ laughter. When the door opened, Link expected to see either Karen or Brad, but a tall, muscular, dark haired man grinned out at him.
Link felt something twist in his chest and couldn’t figure out the cause. He’d never been attracted to his own sex before, but something about the guy had his guts knotting. The sensations traveling swiftly through him were totally foreign and he couldn’t begin to explain them.
A look of what he thought was interest filled the bright blue eyes staring out at him. Am I imaging things, or did I really see the look? Link didn’t miss how the stranger did a once over of his own tall, muscled frame. He stood looking at the stranger and couldn’t push any words past his lips. He felt frozen.
“You must be Link,” the husky voice traveled to where he stood on the steps floating on the minute breeze sweeping across the yard. “Come on in and join the fun.” When Link hesitated, speechless, the man smiled again. “Come on in, I don’t bite. You okay? You have a strange look on your face.”

Excerpt 2:

Link followed him up to a door and Chad invited him in. Inside, was the usual furniture, but there wasn’t any sign of a woman’s touch. Everything catered to the male.
“Nice place you have.” Link’s gaze wandered around the room taking in the pictures on the mantel and the thick beige rug near the fireplace. A quick thought raced through his head about what it would feel like to make love to Chad in front of a fireplace roaring with logs. In Utah, with their location so close to the mountains, the evenings were sometimes chilly after a warm day.
“This place is only temporary, until I can finish college, pass the bar and actually get into practicing law,” Chad walked to a cabinet stocked with several bottles of liquor. “Would you like something to drink?”
“Sure, I’ll take a shot of whiskey on the rocks.” Link felt the need for the drink knowing full well the alcohol would do the trick and act in giving him the false courage he so desperately needed at the moment. With this being his first time, he didn’t know how to begin, or what Chad expected from him. Let him make the first move.
Chad poured their drinks and handed Link his. Link raised the glass to his lips and gulped the liquid, burning a trail down his throat. “Another,” Link handed Chad his glass.
Chad smiled and poured out a second glass. “This was how I reacted my first time. I needed the alcohol to free my inhibitions. Why don’t we head for the shower? I feel all sweaty from today on the golf course.”
Again, Link downed his drink and placed his glass on the coaster on the coffee table. The second drink had done the trick. He felt himself relax and prepared for what was to take place between he and Chad.
He followed Chad down the hallway to the bathroom and stood waiting for Chad to set the dial on the shower. Link watched as Chad stripped off his clothing and stood in the au natural before him. He’d only imagined Chad’s body beneath the clothing and now he was pleasantly surprised to see how his large cock jutted from his muscled frame. It didn’t seem as if he could take his eyes off the sexual view Chad was giving him, but he knew Chad was waiting for him to undress. Dragging his gaze away from the delightful picture, he unzipped his shorts and dropped them on the floor. After, he reached up and shrugged out of his polo shirt. The only thing left was his briefs, which joined the other items on the floor in quick order.
For the longest time, Link didn’t move. He felt as if his feet were glued to the floor, but he knew this was a silly notion. The alcohol helped some, but he needed Chad to make the first move.
“Come here, Link,” Chad said in a soft tone, reaching for his hand. “We’ll shower first and then go back into the living room. I noticed you eyeing that thick rug in front of the fireplace and knew what you were thinking. That will make the perfect spot to begin our relationship.”
Link didn’t need further encouragement. He let Chad pull him toward the shower under the warm spray cascading from the shower head. When they were both standing in the small area, their bodies touched sending a spark to Link’s brain. He intentionally turned away from Chad and pushed back, feeling Chad’s cock pressing against his buttocks.
