Alec's Reward

Alec Jones took yet another slow, deep breath. He’d thought he’d learnt how to judge the passage of time quite well over the last few months, but he was rapidly reaching the conclusion that he’d been mistaken in that belief.

It was hardly the first time he’d been left to wait for his master without a clock in sight, but he couldn’t remember a single instance where Mr. Leavery had left him alone for this long, without any form of service to occupy him. At some point over the last few hours, he’d lost track of the time. He now found himself uncertain if it were still late at night or if midnight had come and gone and they were into tomorrow morning already.

There were other things he felt more confident about, though. He was sure this had to be some sort of test. Unfortunately, he wasn’t the least bit sure what part of his ability or desire to submit, his master was testing right then.

If Mr. Leavery wanted him naked and kneeling on a podium in the lobby of a leather club, they both knew that was the dominant’s choice to make. He’d already demonstrated that his body belonged to the other man in a million different ways, being put on display wasn’t much of a test any more.

He’d conquered his inclination to fidget weeks ago, so it was unlikely to be a test of something as simple as his ability to remain motionless. Even if he wasn’t exactly sure how long he’d knelt there with his legs slowly going to sleep and now cramping up underneath him, he’d remained in the exact position Mr. Leavery had told him to assume.

His hands were still behind his back, right hand holding onto his left wrist. His head remained facing forward, his chin tilted back. His eyes were still closed, leaving him blind to all that went on around him.

The air moved, voices came and went around him as a group of men walked past his post on the leather podium. While they left the room in favour of the play rooms, Alec remained at his post, patiently waiting for his master to come back to him and give him another order.
