A Demon's Desire

Compelling and intriguing, this is gently paced, well written tale of developing trust between wary Emma and lonely Tristan. The atmosphere generated, while suitably dark was not deeply threatening, the villains nicely grotesque without being too gory. However I found the secondary characters rather flat and while there was a nicely generated frisson of sensuality between Em and Tris it was never consummated :(

I loved this book, because it was unexpected in every way and kept me on the edge through the whole book.
